Celebrating the 4th of July

On the 4th of July, 1776 The United States of America declared its Independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and from this day forward Americans have been celebrating this iconic day. Celebrations are usually associated with fireworks, picnics, family gatherings, parades, barbecues, carnivals and political speeches and ceremonies.

The 4th of July is usually celebrated with foods such as fried chicken, cajun turkey, hot dogs and lemonade. Since it is summer in the U.S. picnics and barbecues are popular when hosting a July the 4th party.
