What theme should I do next???
The best aspect of themed parties is it does take some of the brain work out of creating and designing a party for your child. When picking a theme, if you pick a common one you are bound to get all the necessary decorations and utilities needed to make it a special and magical day.
At www.costumebox.com.au we have all the supplies and ways to help you with your ideas and how you can make your Pirate Party a little different from the rest we have listed a few ideas and products so you can make this Pirate themed party one to remembaaarrrr...
First thing first is a party list and invitations.
A inexpensive way to design your invitations is by getting an A4 piece of white paper, black tea bags and a lighter. To give the invitation the old scroll style look you dab the tea bag in water and cover the paper until it's a golden brown colour then you take the lighter to the edges of the paper, make sure you take caution when using the flame and paper.. Maybe do it in a space where nothing else can catch on fire. Finally using a thick black marker write on the paper once dried to finalise your pirate invitations.
DECORATIONS:
We have many decorations like;
- Pirate Cut-outs.
- Weathered Pirate Flags
- Beware of Pirates Party Tape
- Black with White Skull Balloons
- Pirate Treasure Surface Cling
Our complete Pirate Party Kit is a great cost effective way to decorate your desired area for the Perfect Pirate Party theme.
The kit includes the following:

- 4 x Pirate playmates (14cm each),

For the best pirate affect have your party in one room, preferably dark and with a few windows for the cling on decorations. Boxes can be made in to treasure chests with scarf's and plastic jewellery hanging over the edges. Skull and cross bones hanging from the ceiling and pirates faces on the walls. For entertainment you could play a "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie on the television in the background or have waves (ocean) playing on the stereo or media player.
GAMES:
Pin the Patch on the Pirate:
Aim is to take a numbered patch and while blind folded place it on the eye patch on the pirate.
You can take a cardboard pirate cut-out and place on the wall, and print off as many numbered eye patches as your require then blind fold with a bandanna and spin before starting. Child closet to the Pirates eye patch wins a prize.
Treasure Hunt:
Aim is to make two teams and give each team a set of clues, the first team to solve all the clues reaches the treasure. The Treasure Hunt Game comes with a 24 pack of clue cards and envelopes be creative with the clues to get their brains clicking and encourage team work. The treasure can be a chest of lollies or a book etc.
